House Rules

General Rules
  • Maximum occupancy: 16 overnight guests, 20 persons total on property
  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM (comply with Burnett County noise ordinances)
  • No smoking inside the property — designated outdoor areas available
  • No pets permitted
  • Events and parties require advance written permission
  • Be respectful of neighbors and the surrounding community
  • Remove shoes when entering to protect hardwood floors
  • Report all damages immediately to property management
Check-in & Check-out
  • Check-in: 4:00 PM / Check-out: 10:00 AM
  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request (subject to availability and fees)
  • Entry instructions and door codes provided 24 hours before arrival
  • Ensure all doors and windows are locked upon departure
  • Return all keys and remotes to designated location
Kitchen & Dining
  • Wash all dishes or load dishwasher before departure
  • Clean countertops after use
  • Remove all perishable food from refrigerator at checkout
  • Use appropriate utensils with professional cookware to avoid scratching
  • Report any broken dishes or equipment immediately
Indoor Living Spaces
  • Use coasters on all wood surfaces; do not place hot items directly on counters or tables
  • Do not move furniture without permission
  • Keep food and beverages away from upholstered furniture
  • Operate fireplace only as instructed in the property manual
  • Linens and towels provided — place used towels in hampers; strip beds at checkout
  • Flush only toilet paper; report any plumbing issues immediately
  • Run bathroom ventilation fans during and after showers
Outdoor Areas & Lake
  • Children must be supervised near water at all times
  • Life jackets required for non-swimmers
  • No diving from the dock
  • Rinse off after lake use before entering the property
  • Keep deck furniture in designated areas
  • Fire pit use may be restricted during dry seasons
Entertainment & Technology
  • Pool table: use only provided equipment and return to storage after use
  • No food or drinks near the pool table or gaming equipment
  • Open guest Wi-Fi available (no password required)
  • Streaming services available on smart TVs — do not change settings
  • Report any damaged equipment or connectivity issues to property management
Parking
  • Use designated on-site parking areas only
  • No parking on County Road B or within the road right-of-way
  • No parking on grass, vegetation, or non-designated areas
Trash & Recycling
  • Place garbage and recycling in provided containers; keep lids closed to prevent wildlife access
  • Separate recyclables into designated bins
  • Put garbage out Wednesday night for pickup Thursday morning
  • Guests must remove large items or excess trash

Rental Policies

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to check-in will receive a full refund minus a processing fee. Cancellations made 30–60 days prior will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior are non-refundable. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Deposit & Payment

A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. A refundable security deposit of $500 is charged separately and returned within 7 days of checkout pending property inspection. Payment accepted via credit card, debit card, or electronic bank transfer.

Damage & Liability

Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay. Minor damage will be deducted from the security deposit. Damage exceeding the deposit will be billed to the payment method on file. Please report any pre-existing damage within 24 hours of check-in. The property owner is not liable for injuries or accidents on the premises.

Guest Responsibilities

The primary guest must be 25 years or older and present for the entire stay. All guests must be registered with property management. Violation of house rules may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement without refund. Guests are responsible for securing the property upon departure.

Pets

Pets are not permitted at The Long Lake Lodge. Exceptions are made for service animals with proper documentation. Unauthorized pets will result in forfeiture of security deposit and additional cleaning fees.

Maintenance & Access

Property management reserves the right to enter the premises with 24 hours notice for routine maintenance or in case of emergency. Seasonal maintenance may occur during your visit; guests will be notified in advance whenever possible.

Weather & Force Majeure

The property owner is not responsible for weather or natural events that may affect your stay. Certain amenities may be unavailable due to seasonal conditions (e.g., dock access in winter, fire pit during burn bans). No refunds are provided for weather-related issues.

Guest Agreement

By completing your reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all house rules and rental policies outlined on this page. Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your stay without refund and loss of security deposit.
